Commemorating Sri Aurobindo’s 150th Birth Anniversary, a Special Cover was released on 21st Jan, 2022 by Karnataka Postal Circle, India Post, on 21st Jan, 2022 (Friday). The release took place at Meghadoot Auditorium, 5th Floor, GPO, Bengaluru, with several dignitaries being present.

The initiative was taken by Sri Aurobindo Complex Trust, JP Nagar, Bengaluru, in collaboration with Sri Aurobindo Society, Karnataka.

In addition to the photograph of Sri Aurobindo, the cover has the symbol of Sri Aurobindo Society- Pondicherry, symbol of Sri Aurobindo Complex Trust - Bangalore, The image of Sri Aurobindo Complex, JP Nagar, Bangalore and Sri Aurobindo’s quote in English, Hindi and Kannada. A unique cancellation seal portraying Sri Aurobindo on the front of the cover also draws ones attention.

Dr.Ajit Sabnis, Managing Trustee of Sri Aurobindo Complex Trust, while talking on the release expressed sincere thanks to the India Post-Karnataka Circle for this wonderful gesture shown during this auspicious Sesquicentennial celebrations.
